I do transfer the basket, when full, into a bag and put it in the freezer. It does stick together but, like buying a bag of ice at the store, slam the bag down a couple times and it breaks right up. The gallon bag lasts a few days before having to make more. I live alone, if you have more people in your household, you mileage will vary.
